The Party: The American Heart Association’s 29th annual Heart Ball “Heart of a Champion” honored Dr. Flordeliza Villanueva with the Pulse of Pittsburgh Award and Timothy Powell with the Excellence in Nursing Award. 550 supporters came to celebrate the recipients and raise $1.2 million for research and prevention of stroke and heart attack education.

Dr. Ritu Thamman is the founder of the Pennsylvania Chapter of Women in Cardiology (WIC) section of The American College of Cardiology.
